Do you sell Hoddy's anywhere else?
No, we are a web based company only. This means we are able to deliver the product direct to the customer, with no retail mark up. Meaning that you get a quality product with out the retailers price hike.

Subscriptions
How does a subscription work?
If you opt to 'subscribe' when placing an order you first choose your preferred order quantity and then frequency using the drop down boxes. Then follow the normal checkout process, and that's it, you are all set.
Approximately 5 days before your next order you will receive a reminder email from us. Then 1 days before your repeat order is sent to you we will take payment for that order using the card details associated with your account (NB: We do not store your card details these are retained securely by our payment gateway provider).
As with your first order you will receive an email confirmation for your repeat order. Then 1-2 days after your Hoddy's order has been shipped it will arrive at your specified delivery address.
You have the right to cancel or change your subscription at anytime and can do so from your account. Head to your account using the Account login link at the top of the home page. Please note, if your order has already been shipped then any changes or cancellations will only apply from/to the next order. We are not able to cancel an order which has already been shipped. For further details about changes and/or cancellations please see our Legal Policies.

When will I be billed?
Payment will be taken immediately when making a one-off purchase. If you are opting to subscribe then your first payment will be taken with your initial order. If you are already a subscriber then repeat order payments will be taken 2-3 days before the agreed delivery date.
Will my subscription automatically renew?
Yes, based on the frequency you choose when placing your first order. Although you are free to make changes or cancel at anytime. For more detail please view our Terms of Service and Subscription Policy. Alternatively, to make changes: login to your account and/or see the answer to the next question.
How do I pause skip or cancel my subscription or repeat order?
Login to your account via the 'Account login' link at the top of the Home page (you will need your user name and password, which you used when you first subscribed).
Once you are logged in, click 'Subscriptions' under the 'My Account' heading. You will then see a list of all the subscriptions you currently have, each subscription will have an ID associated with it (eg #1234567). Click on the ID code to bring up the subscription detail and to 'Pause', 'Skip' or 'Cancel' your subscription.

Can I gift a subscription to Hoddy's?
Unfortunately, you are not yet able to gift a Hoddy's subscription.

Do I have to Subscribe to Buy?
No, and what's more you can 'try before you buy' for FREE by requesting a sample!
Please note you do have to cover the postage of £3.50, but the product is free. Each 200g bag is enough for a labradors meal.
How many sample orders am I allowed?
One sample order per household/delivery address.
If I order a sample do I have to buy and/or subscribe?
No, there is no obligation to buy or subscribe once you have ordered a sample.
How do I change my delivery address and/or account details?
Login to your account here. Under 'Account Details' click on 'View Addresses' then click 'Edit', make the necessary change(s) and click 'Update Address'.
Will you let me know when my order has been shipped?
Yes, you will receive an email confirmation that your order has been shipped.
Who will deliver my order?
Your order will be delivered by courier or Royal Mail.
What should I do if my order doesn't arrive?

What if I want to change or cancel my order?
You may cancel your order at anytime before your order payment is made. If you are a subscriber then repeat orders will be transacted at least 2 days before your requested delivery date. If you are not able to cancel your order before an order has been shipped any changes you make will only apply to your next order(s).

Can I request a specific delivery time?
All orders made before midday on a working day will be delivered next day between 8am and 5pm. All subscriber deliveries will arrive on your requested delivery day between 8am and 5pm. Unfortunately, we are not able to give you a more specific delivery time or deliver on a sunday.

Where do you deliver to?
Currently our postage fee's cover delivery to mainland Britain. We can deliver to the the Islands & Highlands but this does incur an extra fee & fuel surcharge which is charged by our courier firm. If you would like to discuss a regular delivery to these areas please email munch@hoddys.co.uk

Nutrition
Is Hoddy's all natural and preservative free?
Yes, 100%. We are also hypoallergenic and wheat/grain free.
What is hypoallergenic?
Simply, it means - less likely to cause an allergic reaction. In the dog food world it is more normally an indication that the dog food does not contain wheat or wheat gluten although it might still contain some sort of grain. Hoddy's is hypoallergenic dog food because it is 100% natural and 100% wheat/wheat gluten free.
What's in Hoddy's?
50% of Hoddy's is meat (the highest qty in all kibbles!), in a mix of wild British pheasant or Venison & British duck. This is complemented by sweet potato, potato, chicken fat and peas. In addition we add beet pulp, chicken digest, linseed oil, carrot promace, minerals, seaweed, prebiotic (FOS), prebiotic (MOS), yucca extract, marigold extract.
Is Hoddy's suitable for my puppy?
Hoddy's has been designed to meet the nutritional needs of adult working and other active dogs. Puppies typically require a more specialised diet designed to support their faster rate of growth and physical development. If you are unsure about what to feed your puppy we recommend that you get advice from a responsible breeder.
Are you going to offer puppy food?
Yes, we’re excited to say that we are currently testing recipes and we’ll let you know as soon as it's ready for launch.

Sustainability
Do you have a sustainability policy?
Hoddy’s ethos is all about sustainability and we have a commitment that wherever possible we will do all we can to ensure our products and business operates sustainably. For more information please visit our sustainable story.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Our packaging is recyclable, it can be recycled along with other soft plastics in your local council recycling centre or supermarket. We are constantly on the look out for packaging that can be recycled at home yet still ensure the product remains in it's best condition for your dog. We continue to review different options available and will report on our progress. Is Hoddy's (the business) carbon neutral?
Not yet. Our first step will be to accurately measure our carbon footprint, but that can be tricky for a new business. Once we have a more extensive trading history we will use tools like the Carbon Trust's calculator to help us understand and improve our ecological imprint.
